Africa is witnessing a transformative era in strengthening regulatory systems for
medical products defined by shared commitment and scientific excellence. With
the establishment of the African Medicines Agency (AMA), the regulatory
landscape on the continent is being restructured to unlock opportunities for increased
local manufacturing and improved access to quality, safe, and efficacious
medical products across Africa. At the core of this transformation lies a
shared understanding that strong regulatory systems depend on competent
regulatory professionals. Over the past decade, the Regional Centres of
Regulatory Excellence (RCOREs) have laid the foundation for this progress
through capacity building for regulatory science professionals.
Building on these achievements the College of African Regulatory Science Professionals

recognized regulatory workforce.
